Lis Wiehl (born September 19, 1959) was born on 19 August 1961. She is an American author, and Former legal analyst for Fox News.
She previously served as an associate professor of law in The University of Washington Law School. In addition, she has made legal commentaries on Bill O'Reilly's Radio Factual and National Public Radio. She's appeared on The O'Reilly Factor and Your World With Neil Cavuto. The Kelly File is a show with Megyn Kelly and Lou Dobbs, as well as The Imus Morning Shows.
Wiehl was raised in Yakima and went to West Valley High School. She is a graduate of a Bachelor of Arts at Barnard College and an MA in Literature (University of Queensland) along with a JD from Harvard Law School.
Wiehl was an attorney at the US Attorney's Office. Her role was as the correspondent for legal issues of the NPR program All Things Considered. She served as "deputy chief investigatory attorney for Democrats in the House Judiciary Committee" during Clinton's administration. She was a law professor with an appointment at the University of Washington School of Law Seattle between 1995 and 2001. Wiehl was a Fox News legal analyst from 2001 until 2017.
