Her debut song Here came out in 2015. It quickly became a hit, and both critics and the fans were awed by the song. It reached number 19 on the Canadian Hot 100 and Billboard Hot 100. Even Rolling Stone named the hit one of the Best Songs of 2015. This same year, she released Know It All. Scars to Your Beautiful is one of five songs she wrote that made it to Billboard's charts. The track in question was unique because it was based on an interview with the Rap-Up show, many fans were inspired by her story of self-doubt, and her journey to learn how to accept herself. Cara includes messages of compassion and self-love in her songs. Everything stems from her personal experiences as she been battling mental health issues and insomnia. Reuters said that she described her album "half turbulent, and half finished". Her development was assisted by a therapy. She also encourages her fellow singers who need help to ask for assistance. Alessia Cara grew up in Toronto in Canada. She was born July 11th, 1996 to parents of Italian heritage. Her parents gifted her with guitar at the age of 10 years old, which brought her to music. She started covering her favourite songs at age 13 to prove to that world that she was a talented musician and the determination required to be an artist. Sweater Weather was the most well-known cover. A record label, EP Entertainment, noticed her and let her compose songs.
