Ali MacGraw

Ali MacGraw aka Elizabeth Alice MacGraw was an American actor, animal advocate and writer who was awarded numerous Awards. Love Story (1970), Goodbye Columbus '69 and The Getaway 72 are among her most acclaimed films. She was raised by an artistic family from New York and wanted to explore a career in the art. She began as a photo assistant, before progressing to acting and modeling. In her first two films, she was recognized as a winner of her the Golden Globe Award as Most promising young actress. MacGraw's 1970 film Love Story was an international smash, and earned the actress the Academy Award nomination and Golden Globe Award. She was named the best female box-office star of the world after only three releases. Her handprints, autograph and footprints were immortalized in 1972 at Grauman's Chinese Theater. She has starred in several other films including The Getaway Convoy Players and television miniseries The Winds of War among other. Her autobiography Moving Pictures was published in 1991. MacGraw married three people.
